About Vamecia Powell

Vamecia Powell has proven to be an integral contributor to the educational system and her community as a whole.  Earning a B.A. in English as well as an M.A. in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership and Administration. Ms. Powell is also nationally certified in Developing Cultural Intelligence, Managing Unconscious Bias and Restorative Practices, which is a transformational approach to exclusionary discipline.

Vamecia has utilized her 20-year teaching experience and credentials to impact lives not only as an Adjunct Professor of English, Language Arts, Reading and English for Non-Native English Speakers at Florida State College of Jacksonville, but also as founder and CEO of Intelligence by Design, LLC. where she consults and trains companies in ways to maximize effectiveness and productivity from team and relationship building to managing unconscious bias. With an emphasis on problem solving, organizational management, and becoming culturally and emotionally intelligent, Vamecia has helped her clients attain diversity friendly and inclusive work environments.

While her accolades include many academic awards such as Riverside High School (formerly Lee High School) Teacher of the Year (2012-2013) and a graduate of the school district's Assistant Principal Preparation Program (2018), Ms. Powell continues to evolve while pursuing her passion of writing. Having released six (6) songs to date under the stage name, Veezie, she is just getting started!

Vibez & Visionboards was birthed out of Vamecia's desire to build a community of people who were tired of living in a cycle of complacency and willing to do the work to create the life they desired through organized goal setting. Started in 2021 with a small group of friends, Vibez & Visionboards has become Jacksonville's most impactful and perspective changing visionboard party and the place to be for individuals, business owners, friend groups and families to create their plan for the year in a safe and supportive environment!

Poet, CEO, educator, businesswoman, songwriter and the self-proclaimed “positivity pusher”, Vamecia Powell has touched many lives, improved several corporate work cultures, educated our youth as well as adults and inspires us all to reach for the stars and not limit yourself when greatness is who you are.
